Job Description: Marketing Assistant

 

Job Summary

Hidden Shelf Publishing House is looking for a part-time marketing assistant to work directly with our marketing director. The marketing assistant will help launch new books as they are released, coordinate author events and book signings, implement re-launch campaigns for existing publications, and promote Hidden Shelf books through social media, public relations, and other avenues as needed.

Responsibilities Include

  • Research industry trends and marketing/PR opportunities
  • Help coordinate and schedule social media
  • Implement launch and re-launch campaigns
  • Write blog entries
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • Associates degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong writing skills
  • Research driven
  • An interest in books and the book publishing industry is preferred 

Specifics

  • Starting at 8 hours per week
  • $15/hr with opportunities to advance
  • Remote work space and computer/internet is required
  • Flexible schedule
